'72 EVINRUDE STARFLITE - NO SPARK

I have a 1972 85 Hp evinrude. I am not getting any spark from my plugs. Juice is running through the hot wire but no spark. I heard that the battey has to produce 350 rpms to get a spark. Does this mean I have to sit it on a charger the night before I use it everytime? Any suggestions on what I should check? How do I check the coils and powerpack?

I have the exact same problem with my 1965 Evinrude 75HP Starflite. I'll reply once I get it figured out.<br /><br />Scott Todd
