I just ran across a what is described in the subject line. This motor has a 15" shaft, and looks to be in really good mechanical shape. Are these things sought after at all?

that was the era when motor wells were coming into vogue. 16" transoms with high motor wells, but most mfgrs went to 20 " transoms and shallower motor wells, which gave storage for fuel tanks.

Well, I just wonder if the thing would sell for anything on eBay. The block is SUPER clean; it turns over. Overall it looks really good. It is part of a boat project sitting on a really nice galvanized EZ Loader bunk trailer. They're asking $400 for the whole she-bang. The trailer alone is probably worth twice that...

i think the first consideration is the real condition of the engine. looks are like women, very decieving, some good looking ones are horrible, and ugly ones are great. if you are going to do the project boat why not keep it. parts are still available.
