"72" Merc 650 3 cyl. cloged Idle passages

It runs fine at higher rpms.but man who had it had it setting for a good while. gas in tank was green and bit milkey with a lot of water droplets in bottom of tank.What is the best way to clean passages or carbs. :(

Im assuming you have cleaned the tank, got new fuel and replaced fuel filter. A lot of people on here suggest running a product called Seafoam in with their fuel to help keep everything clean. If you do a search on it on this forum you'll be able to find out more.<br /><br />You may have to rebuild yor carbs aswell to get rid of any gunk.<br /><br />cheers<br />Troy

Troy <br />I already used Seafoam it help overall but idle at best faster setting than normal.will not slow idle yet.
