I'm strugging a bit with the ignition on this motor. Have read some threads here about converting from the OMC CD box to an MSD box. My interest, though, is converting to a distributorless ignition using a coil block. Has anyone done this, or thought seriously about it?
I got the idea from the 80 hp 4-cylinder West Bend motor, which uses 4 point sets, set at 90 degrees on a stator plate. Each point set fires a coil for each cylinder. No magic boxes at all.
