Depends on what octane fuel you want to use. I run my engines at the original stated factory max timing-then run 93 octane fuel. But I don't run a lot of hours each summer.

She likes her gas ! Little hard on fuel ,I was thinking using 89 octane with additive . Maybe mix with some 92 when I can ,but use additive always.

why would you use additives ? don't you think there is enough additives already in fuel these days ?
unles your leaving it with loads of fuel for over a month then no need for additives, and don't be fooled by miracle octane boosters
that seem to be cheap

Use additive for ethanol fuel. Burns pistons
