Which would be the better deal? I am looking at a 74 Reinell 17'6" with a shoreland'r, 140 hp motor, 2 years old lower unit, and solid floor. $1000 I looked at this one a week or so ago. Needs carb kit.

I doubt that you will get much meaningful input on boats that are over 30 years old. Condition is the key on any used boat and there is not much we can tell from here. Get a survey or have someone really knowledgeable about both boats and engines to go over each.

Well, turns out I know the people with the larson. It is in a lot better shape than the other one, and comes with some extra stuff. His wife (whom I graduated with) works in my town, so she is pulling it to her job where I will meet her in the morning. It is a LOT bigger than the Reinell.
