just got her last person put new floor down . but it was on top of old floor .so i took out the gas tank and it was all wood rot pulled it out buy hand and saw water in the fome. read a lot about it here . my ? is is this a job that could be over my head . this is my first boat that needs more than 15hp to move it . but i like it and do not want to give it up .:confused:

Welcome to iboats!

The person before you did you NO favors. That wood needs to be removed..... the water soaked foam needs to be removed and be prepared to find worse once you reach the stringers..... and the transom....

Sorry, for the bad news but you have a project on your hands.

You will have to do more investigation and weigh out your options if the boat is worth it.

No one recover's their investment in restoration but.... they have a boat that will absolutely last them a long time and is in better then new shape!
