'73 OMC Interemdiate Housing Oil?

What type of oil goes back in my newly sealed intermediate housing? Can I run to West Marine and pick it up today?

85W140 gear oil. (Hi Vis if you want to use OMC oil) I would avoid synthetic in there.. mine went all black when I used syn.

...6.25 oz., I think the type C that goes in your lowerunit would be fine in there too if you have that.
