I had problems with the water pump and when I took the lower unit apart the impeller was trashed as I thought. I have the part but taking it apart I noticed another problem that I am baffled on. Right below the impeller housing where the seal is suppose to be is rusted. It looks like it was at one time brass, it has holes through it now and I'm not sure what the piece is called. When I look at the johnson/evinrude part catalog the piece it shows doesn't seem right (more like a cylinder then a disc). I'm having some problems with pictures, But if I had to guess a part now I would say it is the oil retainer on Johnson's site it would be 319256. Any help is greatly appreciated. My question is where can I find the part I need and if not where what is the part?
