hey Sutor -- think that driveshaft seal fits down up to the shoulder of the housing, like you seem to have it. Don't think you can miss the location, other than not sinking it deep enough, maybe? Looking crosseyed at the pic, and can't figure out what I'm seeing down in the shaft (looks like a bearing is turned up or something, but must be tricking myself -- think you said you sank the shaft and it seated OK).

If you stay in the health care field you'll always have a job as my wife is a nurse. But I don't blame you 'cause I've always worked on outboards and really enjoyed it.

Yea, maybe I should just stick to nights and weekends with the outboards. :) Either way it is a lot of fun. And I actually enjoy it when my friends call me up and ask me to fix their outboards.

Oldboat, I sunk the seal down a bit too far. Its okay though it vacuum tested ok and works fine.
