74 Glastron steering problems

Hello,
I recently replaced the steering helmet shoulder bolt and bushing on the outdrive for my 74 Glastron V-179. It has a 270 outdrive. Once I got everything tightened, I realized that the steering will only turn to the right. It will turn back to where it is straight but it will not turn to the left. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I disconnected the linkage from the steering arm and the problem is definitely not in the steering system at all. I bellieve the steering arm is out of adjustment. Does anyone know how to adjust the steering arm? Do you have to loosen the steering helmet? Drop the drive?

Is this a VP 270 drive?

Yes it is.

The steering helmet dropped right down and I was able to adjust the steering. It was a piece of cake.
