Has this quick connect fitting where the hose goes into the unit been the source of fuel restriction?I have the 150 and I don't think that little hole can flow near enough fuel.Should I run three eighths hose straight to the pump?

Hi,

They work fine with the connector and 5/16" hose up to 6500 RPM.
Max RPM is 5800. so don't worry about it.

The genuine Mercury (metal) connectors work fine. At higher horsepowers, the aftermarket (plastic) connectors will let you down.

hope it helps
