I got dads old s-14 that he's had for 25 years. The original owner REALLY customized the seating. After 30 years, everything is rotton. Wood, carpet, etc. I am in the process of taking it back to the original wood covered bench seats. My problem is, and Im not even sure what they are called, the "support straps" (1 each side first seat. 2 each side second seat. 1 each side rear seat) are gone. Does anybody out there still have these in their lund and if so, could you please get me the measurements for one of them. Im going to try to make them myself, as I probabily cant buy them. I also need to know the thickness of them too. I guess I should ask, do I really need to replace them, and were they poprivited in? Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you

I had a 75 Pike with similar supports. They were riveted on the hull side and screwed into the wood seat. The holes should still be in your hull from the original rivets. The supports were at a 45 degree angle. So you should be able to determine their length by mock up. Make sure you use aluminum stock, aluminum rivets and stainless screws.
