75" 50hp Johnson Starter Prob

I went to go start my boat to winterize it and it didnt start.There was this thing making this clicking noise when i would try to start it.I found out were the click was coming from and I looked in the book and the thing that was making the noise was the STARTER SOLENOID.It would just click everytime.Is it my battery?Any info would be helpfull!!<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br /><br />Phil V

Phil, check and make sure all connections are clean and free of corrosion and tight, inspect the cables and wiring for corrosion, if those are the original cables the insulation may look fine but the wiring may be nothing more than green mush, also how old is the battery? is it fully charged?<br /><br />Try the advise in this post it may help <br /><br /> http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=000001
