Hi all from downunder,<br /> I've snapped my driveshaft on my johnson 75 stinger but having a problem removing the shaft from the lower unit . We have removed the pump housing, impeller, bearings and grub screw from the lower unit . Should the shaft now be able to be removed or have we not done something right ? . The shaft moves up n down a little bit but thats all. Thanks in advance

There is a gear and a retaining nut on the end of the shaft. You will have to pull the bearing carrier and the forward gear out of the rear of the lower unit to get at the drive shaft.

I hope you have the manual for your motor.

Thanks for your answers, I was hoping I didn't need to pull the prop shaft hsg out cause its frozen into the unit but if I have to I have to try. Thanks all
