You should post a new thread, with a title identifying the problem.
You will get much better support and attention.
Tacking on to another thread about a pressure gauge is frowned upon, and reviving a 7 year old thread is a no-no.
Also, always id your motor with make, model number , year, serial number, and hp.
Yes you should have a thermostat.
