Hey all!
Well I put all my tune-up parts on last evening{points, condensers, coils, fuelpump}everything went well.I align the flywheel, and put that on and now when I rotate the flywheel by hand, the "shift"cam is moving with it. What should I be looking for when I remove the flywheel again today for a correction?

My guess is that you didn't set clearance between the flywheel and the coil cores and it is hung on a coil.

Set the coils so that there is a minumum of .010" clearance to the flywheel. I usually use a dollar bill as a "guage".

Really points out why you need a factory Service Manual to mess with any outboard.

Ain't that the truth....

Anyway, this may help...align surfaces A and B

BTW, The thing you call the Shiftcam is called the armature plate.
