I have a 1975 190hp stringer electric shift. Are there any of the later model 800 parts ,as in drive shafts ,waterpump shafts ,uppergears any of the internal guts that would intercange with the older model.

Maybe, but doubtful. They quit making electric shift sometime in the late '70's. Then went to a hydro assisted shift that didn't last long, then to a true mechanical shift.

Why do you ask??

The reason I am asking is that I am triying to locate spare parts. The shift part is differnt I know ,but I guess I was really only wondering about the upper gear case internals. If any of those internal parts would interchange.

Here's what you do... get on Ebay and bid on a used leg or two... there's your spare parts.

Otherwise keep yours well maintained and out of the rocks!
