Ok we have a 75 hp Evinrude motor when we push the gas pedel in the boat down it takes off shortly followed by it acting like it is choking down(bogging Down). It slowes down to just a creep. It done that and we had the hot foot installed and it quit it run perfect. A couple times after we ran it, it started again bogging down after we would take off. What could cause this Thanks,
1BassFisherman

Bump the choke and see getting more gas will effect the way it runs. If it improves, you've got carburetor or fuel pump problems.

c/6

Hooty

Hey when we hit the choke it does speed the engine up for a second. So you say the Carbs need to be cleaned. Do you have any advise on the best approach to clean them. They are three carbs and they are right together and it is impossible to take the bowls off. Would it be best to spray them with something and not take them off or just take them off if there is something I can just spray in them what would be best to use. Sorry but just not experienced. It is a 1976 model if that helps. Also it runs excellent in neutral but in gear it acks up.
Thanks 1BassFisherman
