Anybody have any thoughts or ideas? I dropped boat in water this past weekend and the engine trimmed down very slowly. I thought oh no a bad battery bt wasnt as engine started right up. Then it started to trim just fine. Anybody got any thought or ideas what maybe happening. it did sit for a few weeks without use before this past weekend. I appreciate it. Thanks

Maybe the leads to the battery are corroded on the bolts (the - lead is a likely choice) or the ground lead to the pump motor is. When you started the motor it broke thru the corrosion.

I'm going with merc 850, its corrosion in the wire connector and the connectors about to fall off., clean all electrical contacts shiny
It could be a relay/solenoid failing but it.s probably not.but if this happens again after cleaning all contacts maybe.
