The motor ran 5 days ago with no problem. Yesterday I put her in the water and she would not start. It would have cranked until the batter was dead, but almost sounded like it was not getting any fuel? I made sure fuel was getting to where the fuel line hooks up to the motor (basically unhooked it and pushed on the valve to see fuel was squirting out). The electric choke was making the clicking noise I understand it is supposed to as well. Any guidance on diagnosing/treating the problem would be greatly appreciated. I want to keep this girl in service as long as possible.

Hi Anthony: You need to find out if you are getting spark to plugs and see if they are wet with fuel to see which one is your problem. Also do a quick check of your Lanyard kill switch to make sure it is still on. Good luck

Just another thought. I had went out yesterday and had a hard time starting up my 55hp rude. Some guy in another boat asked if I had the tank vent open. Well, I never, so the gas was having a hard time coming out of the tank. Once I opened the valve, it started right away. :D <br />Happy boating

I appreciate everyone's help, and I will share what I ultimately figure out to be the problem. What are the chances it was just flooded?
