I am rebuilding my 1976 115etl Johnson. I just got the block back from the machine shop and I am ready to go. But I am starting to have doubts about the lower end work I have already done and I could use some help.

I rebuilt the water pump with an upgrade kit. The problem was that it came with no illustrations. Using a parts diagram I did the best I could. But the placement of a large O-ring and the positioning of a large rubber grommet with shoulder are nagging at me. I do not want to get this back together and on the boat and then have problems.

Can anyone point me to a good source of info on this or provide a good re-assembly diagram? I have both a Seloc and a OEM manual but I just can't get a good feeling on this one. I really want to makes sure it is right before the boat hits the water or the engine hits a lick.

Thanks a bunch.

I had the illustration that comes with a BRP kit, but I threw it away. The big o ring goes between the plate and the plastic housing. The gromet goes on the plastic waterneck thing thats on top of the housing. The gromet is stretched over the "lip" protruding up on the plastic waterneck thing. Now, is that clear as mud???
