Just trying to get the factory interior lighting to work in my old Manta 175. I Put the test light to the wires and they have juice. The bulbs are all good but don't light up when they are fully seated in the socket. They do, however, light up when I push them in and twist them just slightly or when removing them. I bought the boat about a year ago and it has 1104 bulbs in all three sockets. I think they might be the wrong bulbs, or else the sockets are just old & corroded.

Does anyone know the correct bulb for these old Larsons?

Look at the bottom of the bulb. Do you see one contact point or two. Look into the light socket. Do you see one contact point or two. If the two don't match you have the wrong bulb. On 1157 and 1034 style (two contacts) there is a right and a wrong way to insert them. Hold the bulb and look at it from the side. Note that the two little nubs are not in line with each other. That's the key. Sockets are made so sloppy that the bulbs can be inserted wrong. You should not have to twist them hard to insert. Simply push in and turn gently.
