So I think I have wrong flywheel houseing for Mt boat. Part number is 59823
I think I need 76773A1 but can't find any. But I see 12675 c1 alot and wondering if that's the same? Or If someone has a 76773A1? This is how far off the alignment tool is off.

Thinking to try and help you out better we’ll need your engine info including serial numbers, years etc..

Also I just have to mention here that soliciting for any type of items on iboats forums isn’t permitted per iboats guidelines.😉

Gotcha ok probably explains why there's no for sale section. But it's a 1980 Tahiti. Transom plate number is 65545

I found a couple that might be correct on ebay but seller doesn't list part number and I don't see anywhere in the pics of it being stamped. Is it normal for the 76773A1 not to have number on it?

No, no... The boat and it's year are useless to us. We need the ENGINE year and serial number (and what engine it is)...

Those numbers cast into parts are not always the 'part number'. Manufacturers, Merc included, often use a base number for a part, and that is the number you see cast into it. Often that part needs machining once cast, and that can change thing. You can't rely on the number cast to be true part number that the supply chain uses..

It's a mercruiser 260. I bought the boat with a bunch of cobbled together parts. Has newer 1997 vortec 350 motor that's been converted to carb. I bought the Sierra conversion coupler for 1 piece rear main. Now trying to find the bell houseing that will work
You're in 'FrankenMerc' territory, and all bets are off. Once you've deviated from the original configuration the parts diagrams are no longer 'the bible' and you need to fly by the seat of your pants. It's going to be a case of 'suck it and see'...

Sorry I couldn't be any more helpful.

So turns out I had to use a single washer instead of double coil washer in rear mount. Maybe i installed the newer bushings that only require the one washer. I can't remember since jt was over 2 years ago. But now alignment tool will slide in and out easily with 2 fingers
