77 115 inline 6 timing

messed with stops on distributor trying to get motor to run at idle. after reading some posts here rebuilt carbs and fixed idle problem. now engine runs good when cold but once warmed up engine dies when put under load. does this sound like a timing issue? and if so, what are the timing specs on this engine?

Idle pickup timing is 4-6 * BTDC. max advance is 21*. Rotate brass collar on midsection of distributor to adjust idle pickup timing.

I do not think your issue is timing. I would suspect misadjusted or dirty carbs.
