Starts and runs fine at idle and just off idle. Try to open it up and it dies. Carb has been rebuilt, new fuel pump, new plugs, good compression, good spark. Got a book and set timing as recommended, replaced flywheel key as it was close to breaking! Still won't open up. I adjusted the carbs and timing so the timing comes all the way in before the carbs open up and the other way around, and severalin between. HHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!! LOL
SD

Hi Dave
If the sync is adjusted properly (by the book), the most of the time I find this condition is due to lack of fuel. Possasbly the float is out of adjustment, blockage in the main nozzle. possable main nozzle gasket missing or leaking. possable air leak\leaks. Check main fuel line connection for proper snug fit. Check all gaskets and hoses. This situation is usually something so simple, the problem is often overlooked. Try using a spray bottle with mixex fuel (a small asmount) and give the motor a squirt when you try to throtle up. Keep a shop rag handy to stuff in the carb in case she gets a little too excited.

I made sure the jets are clear and adjusted the float by the manual. I'll try the spray deal when I get a chance. Any other thoughts?
SD

You might check for spark. If you have lost spark to a cylinder the other may be loading up and flooding out.
