77 4cly merc 50 hp Impellar change and seals

I changed the impellar and still no water coming out?
Also changed leg oil and it leaks from prop?Is it hard to change the gaskets seals or whats in there.
When motor is cold have to squirt gas in cylinders to prime. How can I fix.
All help greatly appreciated.
