I have an 1977 evinrude 175 outboard, I have did a carb job and it runs, well now i'm replaced cylinder head gasket, cylinder walls look good. I also replace the exhaust cover with one that had a pee hole for the water. Also I upgrade the carbs to a primer choke system. Before i put the heads back on and take it out is there any other tuneup tips i need to do.

You have done some worthwhile improvements. Based on the year of the engine, I would run a can of Bombardier Engine Tuner through it now, and then annually.

Yea I also have a 1986 evinrude 150xp, I pulled the carbs, primer choke, gas pressure switch, exhaust plate off and put them on the '77 175.
