Hi everyone, Haven't been here in a while. Still working on the skeeter, lots of pictures to post. I can't register my trailer because I don't have vin# or paperwork. I was given a nice trailer for free but the catch was I had to take the boat that was on it too. The boat is a 77 Imperial open bow tri-hull with a good 4cyl. inboard and Mercruiser outboard. It needs total restoration. Can't seem to find much info. on Imperial boats. Do you think its worth restoring? I'll take and post some pic's as soon as I can. Thanks Popop.

I's anyone familiar with Imperial boats?

Imperial ran from 73 to 91, I believe all are typical glass laminated wood stringers, transom, and ply cored decking. In the 80's they used a 3 piece construction, hull, cap, and tub decking..not sure about the 70's. They struggled financially, like a lot of builders back then, so the quality is adequate, but nothing stellar.

If ur dream is to have an io powered trihull, then restoring may be worth it, aside from that, it wont sell for much of anything.

thanks for the info zool, no, that was no dream of mine, but as my wife says I have a problem. I like to take things that people write off as junk and restore it back to what it once was. I've done it with houses,cars, trucks,motorcycles, snowmobiles, vending machines, even old tools, toys, and anything else I come across. So do I need it? NO! I just hate to relegate it to the scrap heap. MY NAME IS JOE AND I HAVE A PROBLEM ! POPPOP

hehe, I have that same problem, my issue isn't usually "is it worth restoring", it where to keep it til I get to it

Nope, no cure lol......the only thing ive found to slow it down is insufficient fundalation
