Hi there! I have the above outboard, model # is 115EL77S

My question is, what do the "E", "L", and "S" stand for. I'm guessing the L is for long shaft. The E might be electric start. But I can't figure out what the S stands for. It has factory tilt and trim, so I'm kinda surprised there isn't a "T" in the model number.

Also, I'm looking for a factory service manual for this motor. Does anyone know if a manual for a 1977 EVINRUDE 115 would be the same?

Thanks,
Hunter

Right. Electric start, Long shaft. The "S is a run number. . not important.

Yes, the JohnnyRudes are the same and either OEM Manual works for both
