Hello all,<br /><br />I have a '77 Johnson 25 hp on a '63 Arkasas Traveler fiberglass boat. Was on the water yesterday and had no problems idling around a cove. Went out of the no wake area and hit the throttle. Bow started to rise and then motor spun but no forward or reverse. <br /><br />The control cable is fine and doing what it is supposed to.<br /><br />Shifting the motor with the cable disconected does not help. Shifts fine but no F/R.<br /><br />Prop will not spin by hand out of the water when in gear.<br /><br />Could this be a control rod that has come loose?<br /><br />Motor is electric start with remote controls. I have had no indication that anything was amiss, no grinding funny noises hard shifting ect. <br /><br />I have not torn anything apart. Was hpoing you guys would have some ideas.
