I have installed my new fuel pump and motor runs smoother esp at idle. Only problem is I can't get the output hose to seal up where it hooks to the fuel pump. It has a very small leakage of fuel. I've tried cable ties and a hose clamp neither worked. Any tricks to get this hose to seal completely?

Sounds like maybe you have the wrong size or a worn out hose.

Yep, the proper hose wouldn't leak even if it had no clamp. The clamp is to keep it from blowing off.

Thanks Guys, I think it has sealed, not seeing any fuel. The intake and output hoses are the same, no cracks, flexible, and look fine. the intake sealed without a clamp as F_R said. I have a cable tie on it. The fuel pump is new so I don't think it's the barb. That output hose looks like a bugger to replace. How do you get to the bottom of the carb to change it out? Remove the Elec Choke? Carb?
or starter? Thanks for the fast replies.
