I have a 77 Johnson 6 hp with a broken shift lever. I have a Selocs manual and can't find a single mention of this lever.

Any secrets or tricks to replacing it, and where is the best on-line source for a new lever?

You will have to remove the powerhead to replace the shift lever. There is a lever on the inner end of the shift lever shaft that has to be removed in order to pull the shift lever and shaft out of the hole. Be careful with that inner lever. Once you remove the screw from it, it is fragile and breaks real easy.

Order a new powerhead gasket and new 303355 gasket and 303347 o-ring for the seal assembly.

Hello, IFR

Does the "powerhead gasket set" (0387321) include all the gaskets and rings I will need, or does that include more than I will need?

The only thing it says it excludes is the head gasket.

Thanks
