Here's some pics of todays progress. I got the windshield back on.

This is what the paint looks like in direct sunlight. This is a closeup of a flange bolt that holds the windshield down.

I'm glad I did too as I was too pressed for time to do it right. I was ready to do it and bought the paint and everything...but the weekend of doing the bottom killed me.

This way I still have a little energy left to tackle the interior.

The paint is a blue metallic. I'l have to get the paint code from the painter so I can always buy it again for touch ups.

I've checked pout cheaperthandirt but most places won't ship to Canada...even though we have guns a plenty over here. It's gettting weird even trying to get places to ship scopes, mounts, etc.

Thanks again for the complements on the boat.

I'll have the seat boxes and engine cover done tomorrow with pics if things go well.

Yeah... I'm digging it too. I showed the paint guy the color I was after and I let him pick. Turns out I lucked out.

That ski champ is wild. I didn't know they made anything like that.

I got to start tallying up costs on all the odds and end I've picked up since I started.

Here is the blower and leds (4) that I purchased for the interior. I'll probably put 1 light in each gunwhale storage and 1 under the bow deck and 1 in the engine compartment. All was purchased from GreatLakesSkipper as he ships to Canada no problem. He did a combined shipping all in one box. It was about $25 per led light and 49.99 on the blower.

Here is the picture of the light output from that 1 led. Looks great but that is the picture from some guy that posted on a forum. We'll see if it really does pump out that much light.

I did my basement in them from this place

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/LumiaBulbs__W0QQ_armrsZ1

Led's especially with the ones made by Cree are as bright as the sun. I also have a couple of flashlights (one mounted on the shotgun) and they are indestructible and use next to no power.

If we all switched to LED's for lighting ( I'd go broke) but we'd save a ton of power. My basement lights are 3 Watts as an example...

22 percent of all power usage in the US is used on lighting.

My next odds and ends purchase will be from Iboats...

What can't you do with epoxy? I had a large section of stone fall off the garage. It was basically the parging that let go...and the stone was cemented to that. I epoxied that sucker back in place.

Here's a couple of pics of the boat with the bow rails back on. I found that my windshield was a little off to one side and I couln't get the hardware back on as the windshield was interfering. I had to loosen the bolts from underneath and give the winshield frame a smack to the right to move it over a tad. I used a closed cell foam adhesive tape under the windshield frame so it moved nicely without scratching. The horn and bow cap are also back on which never made it into the pics.

I dropped off the boat today for Bert at C+M Upholstery who is going to make a kicka** travel cover in the heavier Sunbrella in a dark blue (Captain Navy). I'll also get the convertible top done there also as the guy is real pro and supplies his own hardware and his own frame pieces for the top.

http://www.websweeper.com/php/sunbrella/colors.php?prod=bc&id=4646

There is also a picture of the top from the original brochure a dude scanned for me.

I've seen some of his work and I've really found the right place. I'll take some pics of his work in his yard tomorrow when I drop of my cowl vents for him.

Wow..I am impressed Sprintst.Cree's are among the best in the World..
There are actually only THREE manufacturer's of LEDs in the World.
Cree
Nichia
Seoul Semi Conductor.

Cree & Nichia are basically neck and neck and trade pole positions daily..
All of them sell LEDS of various quality to manufacturers...They get more money for a Grade A led than a B...and down the line.
Some manuf will buy a mixed lot of LEDs that werent sorted and tested..Kinda like a Grab bag...Those products get put out and some end users get lucky and have a GREAT lightsource..while others can buy the exact same product and have terrible results.

The prob with LED and LED household replacement lamps is that there arent any ANSI codes..Halogen lamps have strict codes and have tolerences to be this lamp or that lamp.
LEDs do not have this as of yet though we in the industry are pushing the DOE for such LED standards..Not everybody wants them..but they are companies that dont need to be in business anyway..lol
