I cracked 3 yesterday as well. Still have to make it down there to do some fishing :)

Fantastic job on the water Sprinter! Great to see another big tinny get itself up and powering and looking so good. Congratulations, looks like I can stay at home with my pitchfork! I'll crack a cold one to celebrate on your behalf!! :D

That was the toughest part. Good ventilation too. The box will get cut down to the proper size on Sat. and sent off for upholstery next week. :)

Great Job Sprint and another danged good restore job!!! I especially like the clear notor box :)

I know my brotha from anotha motha. Hopefully I'll make the adjustments next trip so I can get around the dock. Tough jumping in and out of gear with a clunk. You get out there too man...time to get some sun and fish.

Gongrats on the splash. This is wicked bizzar..... We splashed on the same day, both have high idle issues and both were dodging rain clouds. Heck when I got home I almost mowed the lawn. No kidding!

Great boat and that engine sounds sweet. Enjoy!!!

Hopefully the following week will be decent. Looking at doing some day trips to make adjustments and play with the fish finder more.

Great job Sprint, looks super on the water. With this stinking weather we are having this summer it is tough to get an opening long enough to get on the water.

Thanks man. Enjoy the fishing on the island. Let me know if you ever head to Kootenay lake. I'd like to tackle those crazy rainbow trout.

I've got the white synthetic fascia board to redo the bow area. Sat. it goes in as well and I may take a kick at fitting and pop riveting in the snaps for my old boat top. Some of it is beat up and needs to be replaced. Would be nice to have a good camper top so I can sleep in it if I wanted too :)

I'll post picks of the top after it is cleaned up...

More pics to come tomorrow. I got the Scotty 1050 downrigger mounted with the quick release mount. I also finally cleaned up the hull and applied my registration numbers. Gave the hull a quick cleanup and waxed the blue paint as well for good measure.

Monday early am I'm heading to Cold Lake for some huge lake trout. I've got some pics of the "Cold Lake Specials" as well as additional lures, downrigger clips, lead ball, etc.

The reports are that the guys are catching tons of lakers so I'm hoping to come back with some fish pics.

Nail those lakers, sprinter. Sounds like you're ready to troll.

Good luck with the trout Sprint, congrats on getting the boat on the water.

Glad to hear no major issues, time to relax and get some sun.:D

Looking forward to some more pics when you get a chance.

I'm getting close to thinking about mounting downriggers on my SS so I'd like to see your setup.:)

Thanks guys. I'll definitely get pics of the first fish caught. Looking to get out every chance I can while the sun is shining. Raining today but forecasts to be sun tomorrow.

I like the quick release to pull the downrigger off at any time. I also mounted it just back of the camper top snaps so I can stay on with the cover in place. We'll see if it was a good decision as I have to reach for a a bit.

More random pics of the hull polished up and the numbers on.

My hands smell like the internet...if it had a smell. Can't get this fish stink off of them from the anchovy bait which I didn't really use...and the lake trout guts.

I'll see if I can post some Cold Lake videos as they are still uploading.

I found a much better spot to fish than I originally was fishing. The fish alarms were going crazy. Next time I will slay them. Just ate about two pounds of fish by myself.

Catching fish already, awesome!

Beautiful!!!

I had to check where Cold Lake was on the map. Man up towards the North and East you have lakes forever! And ever! Most of that must be fly in stuff I'm sure.

IMG_0557 (Medium).jpgIMG_0558 (Medium).jpgIMG_0559 (Medium).jpgIMG_0560 (Medium).jpgIMG_0561 (Medium).jpgOne more trip to Cold Lake. I took two of my boys to on the trip. The oldest landed one and the youngest had one that almost snapped his fishing rod and broke off.

Here are some before and after pics.

You've got it man. There are thousands of lakes a little farther north or east. Tons are trophy lakes as well with tough access.

I'm digging the payoff as well. Cold Lake has some big lake Trout so I thought I check out one of Triton's old haunts as he flew down here in the day as part of military exercises on the air force base.

Sure did, great flying in those days... 600+ kts at 100 ft being chased by CF-18s... yeehah! Even got to go out in a mini-tinny on the lake, and yes, it lives up to its name! Brrrrrrr. :)

You'd need to open a window with this heat going on over here. I could have used a nice 600+ knot wind to cool things off a bit. :)

Here's a pic taken by my backseater of water skiing a Tornado down a picturesque Canadian river. We never flew below 100ft... well not all the time anyway! :D
