'78 Mercury 900 90hp acceleration issue

I have a 78 Mercury 900 90hp. First, my carb was spitting gas from the lower carb. I've adjusted the float and got it stopped. I've done a link n sync, since it was running bad, and i now cannot get past 25mph by myself. When there's a few more people on the boat, it only goes about 10mph, then dies.

That's what I was thinking to. I was trying to adjust the idle flow of gas on the carbs, but idk where to start. I've turned them all the way in, just to start over, but idk how to adjust them from there.

Please keep in mind I'm fairly new to working on engines, and only know little adjustments here and there. I've been learning a lot from forums and videos.
