79 Evinrude 55hp Idle Problem - Please Help!

My motor will not idle for longer than 30 seconds, sometimes it stalls out going very slow near idle speed. If I am lucky enough to get it into gear and moving without stalling out, it will run all day long at higher speeds.
I have rebuilt the carbs, replaced fuel line and bulb, new spark plugs, new fuel and compression checks out within 5%. What else can I check, please help before I lose my mind! I paid for tech assist from another site and have not gotten a response, so I have come to where the experts gather!

Does this sound like fuel, electric, I just need to know where to look next.

Sounds like an idle jet adjustment to me. There's a good write-up here someplace. I'll look around for you.

Idle speed should be 700 to 750 rpm.There may be an idle speed adjust on the remote assembly.The idle mixture jet is fixed.If the idle speed adjust doesn't do it you may have to rebuild the carb.
