So I was out fishing on the boat yesterday, and out of the blue, my 1979 Johnson 25hp just quit working. This has always been a strong motor for me, so it took me by shock that it quit working.
I have so far diagnosed it to a electrical problem. I have tested all input and power coming in from the ignition switch on. The neutral safety switch seems ok also.
It looks like I am not getting any current through the orange wires to the coil. Does anyone have any advanced knowledge of what the input and output of the flywheel output would look like on a multimeter or test light. I could greatly appreciate this information since i am totally stumped.
