79' johnson javelin 100hp

Just bought a my first boat! Its a 1979 Charger AFC16 with a 1979 Johnson Javelin 100 with power trim. What kind of oil goes in the power trim pump and where do I check/fill it? Also, how much oil does the lower end hold? Finally, it has the original tach that does not work, any ideas how to fix it?

tach bad, wire bad, rectifier bad. trim, power steering fluid, lower unit 80-90 outboard lower unit oil, less than a quart.

thanks where do I put the fluid in for the trim?

on the trim unit when the motor is up.

Trim & Tilt

With someone?s help push the up button, and someone help the motor go all the way up. Lock motor in that position, now fill reservoir, replace cap. Unlock and bush button to lower motor. Keep repeating until it does not take fluid. The unit should operate now. Dextron II or power steering fluid.

my tach only has 2 wires going to it and they both have power but tach does not work, what kind of tach do i need to replace it with?
