Power pack problem?? any ideas guys... Thanks!!

Thank you, now I have read not to buy a mercury one. Is that true? If so do you have a link where to buy one or where do you recommend to purchase them??

Mercury CD parts are the pits, CDI is the best replacement.

Have you tried to use the #1 output terminal of the box with a jumper wire to a differant coil that you know will fire, it's beginning to sound like a bad wire or coil some where on #1 cyl.

coil ground wire on #1 cylinder.

That's why we troubleshoot with meters before we start throwing parts at it.

hope it helps

I ohm checked both the ground wires and the primary wires before I even posted this forum and they all are within spec. This is really messed up and does not make any sense

Well found the problem, the trigger assembly had a open wire going to the switch box. Replace the trigger assembly and we have spark on #1. Thank you for all your help.
