At least I think it is a 79 merc 350 35HP twin. model number 2341279.
It seems every year I end up with different plugs and I was wondering what is the correct spark plug for my merc. This year they sold me champion L76V and I have always had a gap plug, last year champion j6c or something like that. Any one know the correct one?. Thanks  Richard A

Thanks for the info
2300972 - 2487557 1968 2 cyl
mine 2341279 so I guess it is a 68
it says '350' on the cowling,
therfore I am looking for a gap plug. They had two for my model one is slightly longer would that be normal. I would think the piston might hit it or something.
Richard A

350 (35,0) 2300972 - 2487557 1968 2 cyl

Can't help you with the spark plug. My list shows no 35 HP, just 30/40 starting from 1979/1977.

/Bear

Rich, if it says '350' somewhere on the cowling, it is older, like bear says...and should take a gap plug....merc made a 35 twin in the '80's ...these take a NGK BUHW...
