people claim that boyesen reeds are very sensitive and damage easily when engine is backfiring or sneezing.<br />so you might want run a little richer if you install boyesens.<br />they also claim they perform better.<br />well i dont think for regular recreational purposes you will see much performence improvement but im shure the racers have advantages.<br />but what do i know about it anyway.<br />if you were me i would get the stock reeds.<br />you dont want to make it sensitive<br />you want dependibility<br /><br />reeldutch

You say that it will spit before it dies. Some people call that a sneeze and it indicates a lean condition which is not good. Almost has to be in the carb or a fuel problem. Also a wavy fuel pump diaphragm is not good.

Thanks for all the posts guys, finally found it, it was in the carbs,....not exactly sure if i had a blockage, or a leaking gasket, but after a 2 day soak, and a couple of rebuild kits, it runs like a dream. Oh, and i rebuilt the fuel pump while i was at it. Thanks again guys.
