8 hp Evinrude?

Looking at a motor on craigslist. The Gentleman swears it is a 1984/1985 8hp Evinrude.
I cannot find anything on 8hp Evinrudes...only Johnson
bUt he says no; it is Evinrude...

Any ideas?
Am I missing something?

this mid 80's 8hp Evinrude
or
1989 8 hp Merc.
Both freshwater, in good shape.
Opinions?

Yeah, I figured that (kinda like Ford/Chevy!)...just wanted to know if there were any particular issues.

Those little Evinrude's will run forever. Parts are easy to get and they are quieter too...

I don't mean to hijack a thread but what is the fuel ratio on the 8hp Evinrude? I think it's 50:1 but want to make sure.
