Hello all. My 80 HP Mercury is bogging out at less than half throttle. I replaced all my fuel lines from the portable 6 gallon tank, connections and primer bulb. Sometimes my primer bulb doesn't get hard like it should and is just spongy but if I put the fuel line directly into the fuel, the bulb gets hard but I still have issues with the bogging out.
The thing is....there's no issues like this when I got the earmuffs on..it's only when I'm on the river. Is this some kind of load issue? Anyways I'm thinking carb is gummed up from the ethanol gas I've been using (going non ethanol).
I've heard that Seafoam will help with my problem. Any other suggestions before I start removing carb/other stuff? Thanks much.---Kirk.
