Next time you talk to your adjuster start by stating the phone number of the state agency that gives them the right to operate in your state. It'll let them know that you will make sure they observe the law. Every time an insurance company tried to screw me (most) that straightened them out & they paid what they were legally required to. One time it did not, five minutes after the state fraud investigator called my claims adjuster the adjuster called me to inform me where I could come to get a check.
