Hey all,
I am wondering If there is anyone on here that can help me out and double check my thinking on this.
I am bringing back to life an 87 rm80 for my boys and it purs like a kitten but has clutch issues. I need to get into the clutch ,but can not figure this one out.
I have been into the clutch of various bikes over the years mainly of this vintage and never ran into this.
I have the case loose there is about a quarter inch gap. Typically these impellers just pop out with the case and are not bolted in.... just driven by a slot in the gear.....at least the others 80s ones I have worked on.
This little bugger will not come out , outside of prying , and probably breaking the case , does anyone have any ideas? What am I missing? Usually these cases almost fall off at this point in the process.
All bolts are off , I have pulled ... twisted ect
The "left hand thread" marking by the impeller is what has me doubting myself.... these are usually one piece impellers and slot driven so I don't understand of that needs to come out or not.
