Trying to link n sync this motor and Seloc can't help me with some specifics. I've got the roller lined up with the embossed mark on the throttle cam but the only way I can get this to idle is to adjust the idle (screw below timer base link) all the way in. Idles just a little bit rough at 850 rpm and is showing 5 degrees BTDC.

Seems to me I've done something wrong if I have to turn the idle screw in ALL the way in. I can't find any instructions for setting or adjusting the throttle cable as it comes into the engine compartment. And the link that goes from the timer to the throttle cam....I'm hesitent to touch that without proper instruction.

Seloc is vague .
The best bang for your boating dollar is the factory SERVICE manual, mine was around $45, get em at the link.
