I think that pump would need a bigger pick up tube.
You could just hook up a pump to the fan belt on the front of the engine.
Mine had a 500 gph, I'm going at least that size or bigger.

I would venture to say that if you port that one out through the transom you 'd boost your top speed!

On a serious note, There's a good read on the "other than engine" forum about a glasstron taking on water. They raked him over the coals. I just picked up a 500 Attwood for mine. It has a float switch built in. Also there was a post on that same thread saying that they used a small (low in the bilge) and larger one set 2" higher. That way they had low battery drain unless they really needed it.

I have actually heard multiple people at the launch say they just pull the plug while plaining. There is no way I am getting my hand that close to the lower unit while moving. I have a 500 gal and it works ok as long as I remember the drain plug.

I run a 500 GPH auto and it kept up just fine when I had a busted inside exhaust bellows. That was a crappy day

I plan on adding another as two smaller pumps is more redundant that one large pump.

I thin k I am going to get a 500GPH off Ebay. I like the one mountain man got. It was an attwood 55gph that was automatic.

Ok... So on to what I got done this weekend. This will be the first of two updates.

1. I got the Courtesy lights and the rest of the electrics done.

2. I replaced the fuel sending unit with a new one.

3. I started to put some of th interior back in to see how things looked.

4. I found that I did not paint up far enough on the side walls and so I had to go get some paint mixed up.

Do those side panels go all the way to the deck? or do they sit on the side of the hull? (mine were already gone, I don't have much to go on.

Also what kind of box are they 1/4" plywood?

Do they have storage space?

Wow that is looking great. I havent seen the top side of my boat in a while. I cant wait to get the gel coat done so I can start on the interior. That is the most fun part because you know you are almost done.

You are really making some great progress. Those courtesy lights came out good and the whole package is really going together nicely.
I was thinking of adding some docking lights to the front of mine, do you already have them?

Thanks guys. I had to start putting things back together because I was getting really burned out. I think it was the holidays and all the crap that goes along with them. With the kids being off school and problems at work, I was just out of sorts. Getting some of the interior back in really made me feel better. Now that the new year has started I am in a much better mood.

Here are some more pictures and a video of what I did this weekend. I made some new side panels out of wood and covered them with vinyl. I then painted the old worn out dash with some satin black. I was going to maybe out the boat back on the trailer this weekend, but noooo, it is not supposed to get above freezing here until late Saturday.
