Craigslist is my friend. I found this double trailer today. He wanted to trade for two singles and a 100 dollar bill. I would say I did pretty good. Now I need to upgrade the fuel system on the new one and then go out and have some fun.

the weather is fine where I am. We are about 50 miles from the Oklahoma boarder. So the storm was almost 600 miles to the south. We got some rain bands though. We need some more rain. Our lake is down a foot over the past month.

Hello, I know this thread hasn't been active in awhile but I came across it when searching on advice for my SX190. I have an 84 with the rear gas tank and the gas tank is leaking. I am going to attempt to replace it myself and was hoping anyone here would have some advice, insight, or info that might be helpful as you seem quite knowledgable about the SX190's

Thanks

Jay,
I just caught up on your videos. I think you've got a thing with fires!

Also, I feel for you and your toungue with the gasoline. I found a good solution a couple of months ago. The Attwood Primer bulbs for the boat tanks works great as a siphon bulb. I just had to drop the 1/2 full tank on my Town and country to change the fuel pump. As soon as I cracked the pump retainer I was able to siphon it dry just by starting it with the bulb. They're only about 7 bucks.

Glad to see your enjoying the summer!:)

Thanks mountainman. I am in th process of trying to get the carpet thing figured out. The duraback is great, but it gets HOT!!!! The interior id also very "loud" now without the carpet to dampen the sound. I need something.

Frisco,

The motor you were quoted from city motor supply, for 999, I didnt quite see which one you picked, do you happen to remember what that included?

Just the crank, block, internals, and heads?

I read about 20 pages through and through then I started skimming for your pictures and updates, and watched your video on cold starting.

All the hard work appears to have paid off great!

It was closer to $1200.00 if I remember correctly. The 999.00 was without core.

cool deal Frisco! (enjoying the lake and working , making money....) good start on a summer in 2010... thanks for posting the vids!:)

bummer on the cam failure!
I tell ya what the cheapie $100 canon powershots (mebbe $40 on ebay?) take pretty decent video and take a beating well in case ya dont want to drag your nice video cam out...

my BIL wont buy a 2 stroke machine...he's worried about the talks of a ban on the lake for 2 strokes (wont happen soon I say) and the prices you scored yours for is very low....here they are $1200-1500 minimum for a need work model....uuuhg....seen a few blowed up for $500-600:mad:

I like that tat on your sister leg....heck I like all tats.... but thats a really cool one...

I bet that grab rail around the back is handy dandy when you're beached and for getting in and out etc....

sounds like you're all having a ball......:p

Is that a natural lake? or a reservoir? sure is alot murkier lookin than lake Mead here..... is the water warm yet? here its 74 according to the marina postings..... it will hit 85 in the next 30 days probably...hehehe bit too warm! :D

Warm water is always nice. the past few weeks I have been looking for part out deals of CL. Where I can buy a boat, strip it, and sell the parts on ebay. I am just not getting there fast enough. I tried a new prop today, adn I have to say i do not like it. It was a 14 X 21 alum, and I hit the same GPS that I did with my 14.5 X 19 and lost alot of hole shot. I am not sure what to do now.

I hear you on props Jay, I went to a 17 from a 19 last weekend, holeshot rocks, top end is about the same, but I'm still 400 rpm below WOT. I'm thinking of forking over the $$ and seeing what a 17 in stainless does. Let BBO and I know what your schedule is, we need to hook up this summer....and we are running out of it!

Ok, so after lots of testing I went back to my original prop. It pulls like a freight train on nitrous, and it has great top end. I have lots of video for you guys, but I need to to edit and post it.
