83' 25hp 10 min at wot then dies at idle

Can't figure this one out. The motor starts right up and runs fine till i make a run of 10min or so at wot. Once i go back to idle the motor dies and it will not start. If i wait 5-10 min it will start back up. I have rebuilt the fuel pump and cleaned the carburetor, and the engine idles fine when it is first started. What else should i look at?

I think it is the stator. I have the manual online but the paper one hasn't came in. The one online says:

black/white and ground Rx10 should be 12-18 i get 167 which should be right

black/yellow and ground rx1000 should be 3.2-3.8 i get 1.8 which should be wrong

black/yellow and white/yellow rx1000 should be 3.1-3.7i get 1.9 which should be wrong.

Does this sound like the problem?

Still need help. I replaced the stator, thought all was good we ran around a good 30min are so from wot to idle without a problem until i was about to going to the lake i went to idle and it died and wouldn't start. keep trying for about 15min and giving it gas it started. Only thing i see left is the switch box.
